Leaflets, calendars, posters – these attributes were handed out during the forum-theatre performance held in Public school # 3 in Kutaisi. As a sign of solidarity, participants expressed their willingness to wear white ribbons during the campaign. They watched with interest the scenes on the topic of violence.
After showing the scenes there was held a discussion. General attitude of the attendees was as follows: Teens are ready to express solidarity and loudly say - No to violence!
The theme of violence, which is the main part of the repertoire of forum theater, becomes more and more important. The performance showed in the school № 5 of Kutaisi was attended by senior pupils.
Participants got acquainted with the information about the 16-day campaign against violence. They actively involved in the discussion after the performance and joined the world protest. According to them, violence is a crime and the fact that the whole world raises its voice against it should be welcomed.
Six different scenes of violence – this was the repertoire of the forum-theatre of Fund "Sukhumi” in the public school # 21 of Kutaisi. There gathered teachers and schoolchildren.
Participants actively involved in the discussion from the beginning and listed different alternative solutions to the problem:
-If we analyze everything with a cold mind, we’ll always find solution. Emotions should be set aside in this case.
-Violence always ends badly so we have to act until receive negative results.
-If we imagine ourselves in the role of victims, it would be easier to solve the problem.
Young people say about their responsibilities too and think that they should be active to create non-violent society what they are already ready to do.
-I
could not imagine that this exists. Actors are almost our peers. They do
everything to do the best: show the problem of violence and its results. They
did it! – this was a comment of one of the participant after the forum-theatre
performance.
The theme of migration
caused special discussion. The scene showed well the problem of families one of
the members of which is abroad.
Spectators think that
this problem is known to many since there are many such families in Georgia.
After discussing negative consequences of the problem, they talked about
solutions. According to many, migration is not the problem of one family but
the whole country and its solution depends on concrete persons. State should
make certain steps for population employment.
- We saw an amazing performance. All scenes made us think. These performances should be seen by as many people as possible.
-Something that we saw might be usual thing for many, but the problem of violence that did not perceive and fully comprehend, was presented to us with all its negative aspects.
- The more you see these scenes, the more you think about the scale of the problem of violence.
Such was the reaction to forum-theater performances in a public school number 4 in Khoni town, which were attended by teachers, senior pupils and their parents.
Participants believe that forum-theater performances could make the audience think, showed everyone negative aspects of violence. They clearly stated that society should express louder protest against this problem.
The forum-theatre held a regular performance
in Tskhaltubo, in the sanatorium "Samgurali". The presented scenes
aroused particular emotions among the audience. They were involved in the
discussion and freely expressed their views. Representatives of the older
generation of were especially active:
- It is impossible that the shown scenes would
not make you think. I was particularly impressed by the family drama. As if
everything is real. Relationships between children and old parents are well
illustrated. Nothing is exaggerated,
such facts are very frequent and it is terrible.
- Many young people should see these performances
that they think on and show more respect towards their parents.
Discussion
around the theme in the sanatorium "Samgurali" continued after the
completion of the scenes.

Forum-theatre
performances help to perceive everything really, as if we participate in scenes
of violence by ourselves and do not do anything to stop it.
- Something that we have seen is very close to
reality. We witnessed heavier facts, but often do not ask ourselves to raise our
voices against these facts.
Such opinion has been expressed among the
audience during discussions held after the forum theater performances in
Kutaisi and Tskhaltubo.
The viewers were unanimous in the opinion that
violence in any form is evil and society should fight against it.

- Watching a performance you think that the
problem can be solved easily, but when I replaced one of the actresses and
decided to change the script, I realized that in fact it is not so easy.
This was the opinion of a girl who took part
in the Forum-theater performance of Fund "Sukhumi". The performance
was held in Poti, in the New District. It was attended by about 40 people of
all ages. Spectators freely engaged in the discussion. They expressed different
opinions. Older women said that peace in family is a merit of older people,
and, in the opinion of young spectators, family conflicts arise due to improper
communication.
Most
of the audience positively evaluated activity of the forum-theater, and mentioned
that these performances should be seen by as many people as possible, since
they help better understand the seriousness of the problem and find a way out
of conflict.

- The scenes we have seen are real, taken from life, all this happens in our families. We just do not call things by their names, try to color everything. Therefore, problems can be seen not as prevalent.
- Family conflicts are particularly relevant. From the scenes it was clear that no member of such a family will feel comfortable. Children are in especially difficult circumstances. It was also clearly evident that third party contributes to the development of family conflicts.
These views were expressed in the settlement of IDPs of the military town of Khoni after the Forum-theater scenes. Initially, the audience only listened, but the leader of the theatre could get them to join the discussion. According to them, young families should live separately, thereby reducing the facts of domestic violence.
There were also other opinions. Some believe that violence can not be eradicated because it is based on stereotypes, and to destroy them we need a joint comprehensive work.
Forum-theatre of Fund "Sukhumi" visited the new settlement of IDPs in Tskhaltubo. After the first stage the number of spectators increased. Some watched performances from the balconies of their homes.
There were expressed different views. Older women believe that such scenes take place before their eyes - but people keep silent about it. They hear how in their neighborhood husband beats his wife, and the next day she goes out into the street, as if nothing had happened.
The youth did not express a particular activity. Only one young man expressed his opinion, thus expressing the opinion of an entire generation: if women know their rights from an early age, they will not become victims of violence.
Actors of the forum-theatre were leaving the village, and heard behind them how people were discussing the aforementioned problem. The scene of family conflicts made the audience think over.
The forum-theatre performances against violence have been continued. This time performances were shown in the youth park of Kutaisi. Among the spectators there were representatives of older generation and pupils. They expressed great interest to the scenes.
The forum-theatre was also attended by the journalists from Tbilisi. They were involved in the discussion after watching the scenes, interviewed actors and a director of the forum-theatre. They were gladly surprised that such performances take place in Kutaisi.
LikaChikovani (a journalist from Tbilisi): "The forum-theatre is an innovation attracting us with its reality, freedom and creativity. I think this is very interesting and useful for young people.
Forum-theatre scenes were performed at the Green Hall of A. Tsereteli University. Forty-five students and three teachers participated in the performance. There were performed five scenes which reflected the relationships between mother and child and young couple.
Young attendees were involved in the discussion after the performance. They offered different solutions to the raised problems. The scene about a young couple caused the liveliest debate.
- "This problem is very painful for us. Many girls are disappointed in their first love. The performed scene is a good example for young people, how they should avoid such a problem,"- Nana Goletiani, a student.
- "Forum theater shows us how to raise an issue in society that it made us think and take care of its solution", - Giorgi Urushadze, a student of the faculty of psychology.

Schoolchildren and teachers of the Georgian-American school "Progress" (Kutaisi) expressed great interest in the forum-theater of Fund "Sukhumi". This was obvious from the first minutes of the performance.
The schoolchildren and teachers were actively involved in the performance, as required by the specifics of the forum-theatre.
They expressed their opinions in questionnaires filled in by them after the performance.
Anna Asatiani: "I like such performances very much. They clearly express the problems of human relations".
Georgi Shavgulidze: "Such performances are very interesting, and the main is that they are useful in our age, since the forum-theatre shows real situations.
It is obvious from the participants' evaluations that the performance fulfilled its mission.

About 60 schoolchildren attended the Forum-theater performance of Fund "Sukhumi" in the public school № 7 of Senaki.
Most of the audience was involved in the discussion. Girls were especially active. They played different roles and tried to find solutions to problematic situations.
The boys were excited by the small performance on the theme of drug addiction. They joined the performance and discussion.
"It's very interesting art that clearly shows us the challenges of our generation" - said one of the active spectators Kakha Giorgobiani.

Actors of the Forum-theatre of Fund "Sukhumi” presented six scenes for the school children of JiuliShartavaSchool # 6 of AbkhazAutonomousRepublic. The Director of the theatre Magda Chikhladze told the attendees that the objective of the forum-theatre was to eradicate violence in family and in society.
After watching the real scenes young people expressed the desire to have a frank conversation. In the discussion about the harmful habits of adolescents (drug addiction, idleness) were involved boys too. The schoolgirls Mariam Kartozia and Nino Kurashvili played improvised scenes.
"Such plays help young people make the right choice", - said participants of the forum-theatre.
Forum-theatre performances of Fund "Sukhumi” were showed within the framework of the 16-days campaign for students of Kutaisi A. Tsereteli University and members of JSC "Kutaisi Automotive Plant".
After the performances, the audience and actors tried to find a way out of the situations of violence. All the discussion participants agreed with the opinion that all must struggle against violence.
