Women who gathered in the building of an editorial office of the newspaper "Khobis Moambe” were acquainted with the information on a new project.

They mentioned that this year the project geography includes eight towns of Western Georgia, that the Club’s activity will be more intense and varied. At the meetings will be discussed legislative changes, topical problems of society. There will be formed groups on advocacy and public relations. The Club members will have opportunity to participate in monthly meetings of Sakrebulo, take active participation in support of women-candidates in the Parliamentary elections.

Women acquainted with the Resolution 1325 – this documents calls member states to ensure equal participation of men and women in policy making.

The Club participants were provided with the information about the 16 Days of Activism Campaign Against Gender Violence.

Women from Khobi said that they would be actively involved in the 16 Days Campaign as in past years.    

The project is implemented with the support of the organization NED – National Endowment for Democracy, USA.
