- I especially like the profession of a journalist.  I appreciate your work and will try to cooperate more with the regional media – with these words the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights Eka Beselia addressed the journalists who gathered at the Press Cafe of the newspaper "P.S." and the online edition psnews.ge.

Mrs. Eka answered the relevant questions.

The meeting was attended by a representative of Fund "Sukhumi”. On her question with regard to women’s support Eka Beselia answered:

- Gender issues are priority for us. I am a member of the Parliamentary Council on Gender Equality, and I work in this direction. I often think that there should be more women in decision making agencies to achieve the desired results. In the nearest future we plan legislative initiatives and the implementation of different projects in support of women. The work will be especially strengthened by the local self-government elections of 2014.

Eka Beselia addressed the representatives of media to activate the work in that aspect.
