The meeting organized at the St. George’s gymnasium in Zugdidi was attended by 30 local and IDP women. Participants of the meeting were provided with the information on the Georgian National Action Plan on UN SCR 1325. The project assistant acquainted the participants with the amendment in the Organic Law on Political Unions of Citizens (additional 10% of financing to the electoral subjects, which will include at least 20% of female representatives to the municipal election list). Members of the Club of Women-Voters hope that this amendment in the Law will have a positive effect on women’s activity. At the end of the meeting, leader of the Club Manana Nachkebia shared impressions on her the trip to Palestine and Bethlehem.   The project is implemented with the support of the organization NED – National Endowment for Democracy, USA.
