In public school No7 of Senaki the debates on actual issue “Bulling – new terminology, but already known type of violence” was conducted
Senaki is the third school where the debates were devoted to the mentioned problem. It appeared that most of the pupils even once appeared in the ironic situation that often caused conflicts and aggression among the pupils.
On the initiative of the youth network leader, an enquiry will be held, which will show the percentage of bulling in the schools of Senaki. The group of volunteers will be created, which will conduct work-shops in the schools on the issue of tolerance. It will be the step for prevention of such form of violence.

The young people realized number of violence facts around us and our responsibility regarding this.

On December 4, the initiative group of Poti conducted debates on: “Bulling – the form of violence” in public school No7. The idea belongs to the head of school. He invited the youth network of the fund “Sukhumi” and thus fixed participation of the school in the campaign.
The debated were interesting. The pupils expressed initiative, prepared slogans and conducted an action against violence in the school yard.

The first of December is an international day for fighting against AIDS. What information does the youth have about this infection. It was the topic of discussion, conducted by the members of debate club in Tskaltubo. The participants mentioned that people with this disease often are the victims of psychological violence from the society, which is caused by the lack of information.
What influence does an environment have on the psychology of teenager, what are the feelings of children, who see violence in family – Khoni youth center got interested in these issues. Discussion began with the film about violence, which made an interesting background. They spoke about indifference of the society, concrete examples of how the young people became victims of suicide were given.
Participants consider that any kinds of violence give only negative result, so it is necessary to involve the youth in the campaign. It will promote to creation of non-violent culture.

On December 28, in the library of Khoni, the members of leader girls’ school conducted round table on: “violence towards the women”. The pupils of 9-th and 11-th grades actively discussed the problem. To their opinion domestic violence is caused by low level of education among the women, economical dependence, lack of knowledge about their rights.
At the end of discussion, the young people concluded that violence is unacceptable. They paid particular attention to bringing up the youth with healthy views.

Pupils of the public school No7 of Senaki once again discussed the issue of violence while debates. According to them, the facts of violation must activate each citizen, though they underline that our society is not used to activities and independence of the women. It causes problems among “modern woman” and “traditional man”, which leads to violence. The pupils mentioned that we must not forget social background, as in most families, it is a reason of the conflicts.
The participants expressed readiness to be involved in the campaign of 16 active days, which means number of activities against violence towards the women.

The debates on: “violence” against women was held in Kutaisi University. The students once again discussed the reasons, which make the woman violence victim and what prevention mechanisms should be elaborated by the state.
From November 25, Georgia joins 16-day campaign against violence towards the women. There are number of activities planned in frames of it. The students of the universities and the members of the Club of Young Girls of the fund “Sukhumi” will be actively involved in the mentioned campaign.

What is the reason of growing violence in our country?
A debate, held on November 10 in the youth center of Poti, was devoted to this issue.
By the opinions of young people, today the women know more about their rights and do not want to put up with violence. The media often publicizes the facts of violence. Participants of the debates underlined the importance of joint work of governmental and non-governmental structures.
The initiative group is ready to conduct campaign of 16 active days against violence towards the women. The activities are planned with participation of the city youth.

In the state university of Meskhia, on the initiative of Khurcha youth center, the debate on: “Violence towards the women – prevention mechanisms” was conducted.
The issue of violence was actual for the students. While discussion it was seen that the analysis of the reasons cause differences in opinions. One part considers that the main “guilty” is Georgian traditions, the other part thinks that the problem of violence against women exists also in those countries, where the mentality is weaker.
By general opinion, there are several reasons and this problem should become prior for the state.
The participants of the debates mentioned that consciousness of a person is created in early age and prevention of violence should be started by education of the youth – it is an important step.

The youth network of Tskaltubo conducted debates on the issue of violence regarding women. The participants discussed the reasons: why aggression was increased in the society, why the facts of violation became so often. It was mentioned that it is a reason of negative emotions and nobody cares about controlling it.
The young people consider that each member of society must feel responsibility. The rapist must be afraid of society reaction. The conversation touched the role of state. Violation must not be announced only after the tragedy – serious, everyday work must be carried out for violence prevention.

Ordinary youth debates were held in Poti. Head of the youth and gender equality department of Poti City Hall – Malkhax mikadze was invited to the debates. He listened to the questions and problems of the youth attentively and promised to cooperate, to inform them about vacancies timely and suggested to participate in several youth programs. The youth mentioned that similar meetings are important and thanked the fund “Sukhumi” for this opportunity. Mr. Mikadze mentioned that he will have direct contact with the youth in future. After debates the participants joined the action against violence.

-Nothing interesting for the youth happens in Tskaltubo. We have many initiatives, but have no possibility of its implementation.
- We never know what activities our government plans. We want to be involved and participate in them.
Such opinion were expressed by the youth on the debates in Tskaltubo youth center, which was attended by Levan Nemsadze - the chairperson of cultural, educational and youth commission of Tskaltubo Municipality Sakrebulo.
The issue of debates was “Youth programs in the local budget”.
As it was mentioned by the chairperson of Sakrebulo, creation of the youth parliament is planned in Tskaltubo, which will join active youth.
The youth also spoke about their ideas. As it was noted by the government representative, this meeting will be continued as it is necessary to hear the initiatives of the youth, in order to reflect these ideas in different activities.

The youth center of Khurcha conducted debates in the University of Meskhia. The participants discussed, how the youth has possibility to allocate free time rationally and be involved in the activities round the town.
By opinion of the participants, notwithstanding free concerts devoted to celebrations, there is nothing interesting for them. They do not know local programs. They are mainly involved in the activities, organized by the University.
They expressed a will to be more active, collaborate with the local youth department and be involved in different activities.

Senaki Youth Center decided to discuss the following issues: what kind of programs exist in the city for the youth, what does the local budget envisage, how does the youth have possibility to be involved in different types of activities.
The participants gathered in conference hall of Senaki for receiving competent information. Irakli Kacharava (responsible person for the work of the youth and sport services in Senaki Municipality)told the participants about the activities of the youth service, what kind of activities were implemented, what do they plan in future.
-We have a great desire to hear as many initiatives as possible from the youth, actively involve them in the process of forming the budget, to make future programs more colorful, - mentioned he.
By the opinions of the young people, the meeting was very interesting and important. They expressed the will to actively cooperate with the youth services in future, attend Sakrebulo meetings and be involved in the process of budgeting.

The Youth Center of Khoni, once again discussed youth budget and importance of youth involvement for development of the city. Khoni and its nearby villages remember numerous good projects implemented by the fund “Sukhumi”. It is possible to realize lots of initiatives of the youth with support of the City Sakrebulo.
After the debates, a meeting with the main specialist of Khoni Sakrebulo youth department – marina Kukhalashvili was held. She was one of the direct participants of one of the projects and is ready to cooperate even now. The meeting was fruitful. The first joint idea was settled – presenting films in the schools of Khoni on the issues of violence and gender equality.

The youth center of the fund “Sukhumi” conducted debates in the state University of A Tsereteli on: “City budget and Support of the Youth Initiatives”. The students were provided by general information regarding city budget and what kind of support may they receive from the City Hall and Sakrebulo. They say that the students have some kind of initiatives and wait for the support for the years and they have heard rare facts of youth project finances.
At the end of the debates they underlined the importance of similar meetings and they expressed a hope of NGO sector and Youth net support.

On September 17, the youth center of Poti hosted an ordinary debate. The topic, chosen by the leaders for the network debates, was very actual. Hot points of the world and Georgia, inner conflicts and lost territories – these issues were discussed by the youth with pain and hope for future.
- I am form Abkhazia and my dream is to return there.
- It is very bad when the third party is involved in the inner cases of the country. We must keep our nationality and the enemy will be forceless.
