On International Day of Women Solidarity in kindergarten No 2 of Senaki there was held an exhibition “Women for Peace, Beauty and Harmony”, with works of ladies and kindergarten staff. The event was decorated with music. The exhibition was attended by representatives of local self-government, members of Gender Advisory Councils.

The exhibition was held on initiative of the kindergarten. This is a result of the work in frames of joint project of fund “Sukhumi” and Senaki municipality “Civil Education for Gender Equality and Healthy Environment in Senaki Pre-school Unity”

The project is implemented with the support

 of the UN Women’s Fund for Gender Equality

On June 6, the youth project of environment protection in Kutaisi, funded by the Switzerland Embassy was finished. The project was actively participated by the youth net of the fund “Sukhumi”.

On the final day of the project an exhibition of handmade things was conducted in the tea-house “Foe-Foe” The guests got familiar with the project history, purchased presented things. The benefit from the project will be spent in implementation of the youth initiatives.

Kutaisi organized the forum – exhibition of the volunteers (organizers – Kutaisi educational development and employment center, volunteers of USA Peace Corp. and NGO "Helping Hand”). The exhibition was held in the state university with participation of about 20 NGOs, among them Fund "Sukhumi” with its different and interesting projects, which was represented by the members of youth part of the organization: Mari Kvekveskiri and Helen Shcroder. There were lots of interesting publications of the Fund”Sukhumi”. Several students expresse a will to be involved in the youth projects as the volunteers.

Organizers consider that, forum – exhibition will become traditional.

Within the framework of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence Campaign a drawing contest was held in the village Koki, Zugdidi District. 18 pupils from 5th to 8th grades participated in the contest. The theme of the contest was "Peace in the Home – Peace in the World”.

Members of the jury revealed 3 winners who were awarded gifts. After the completion of the contest the participants explained what they wanted to express with their drawings.

- Peace is when there is peace in the home and this means that everything will be OK in the World!

- Peace is when everyone loves each other

- Peace is a cloudless sky above us

On July 5, the presentation was held of the exhibition of a photo-journalist Victoria Ivleva (Russia) – "Apotheosis of War” – in David Kakabadze Gallery of Visual Arts of Kutaisi.

The project is supported by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and the two partner organizations: Cultural-Humanitarian Fund "Sukhumi” (Georgia) and Union "Women of the Don Region” (Russia).

The exhibition reflects forty-two photos from Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Uganda, Angola and Ruanda.

Victoria Ivleva, the author of the exhibition, arrived from Moscow for the day of presentation. There were also invited the members of the Alliance of Georgian-Russian Women Peacemakers – Marina Tabukashvili - general director of Women’s Fund "Taso”, Galina Petriashvili - president of the Association of Journalists "GenderMediaKavkaz", Manana Mebuke - a chairperson of "Union of wives of invalids and lost warriors”, a chairperson of Fund of Women-Entrepreneurs Meri Gelashvili, a chairperson of teacher's union "Education and Universe" Nanuli Ramishvili, a chairperson of Fund "Sukhumi" Alla Gamakharia, as well as the representatives of NGOs, mass-media and Kutaisi City Council.
