Last issue of the journal “women’s Voice” was published, which summarized results, consultations, meetings, achievements, activities, announcements, collaboration aspects of the project “strengthening of women’s rights in Western Georgia”. Three hard years are over, new perspectives are in future.
In frames of the project: “Women and girls – for peace, security and social justice” it was planned to issue two journals. The first one was published in July and the second – at the end of November.
The journal tells about different activities, youth centers, results, achievements and young leaders.
Thus, there are lots of interesting in the journal.
An ordinary, fifth issue of the journal “Women’s Voice” was published.
The journal reflects active work of the fund “Sukhumi” for prevention of domestic violence – training for the representatives of local governments in 6 cities, round tables, consultations of psychologists and lawyers, work of the WSCs of the fund “Sukhumi” and the histories of the women, who change their lives as a result of such work.
The journal – report “Gender Advisory Councils – raising of women’s role for social changes in the region”, which summarized one project year.
The journal tells us about achievements during last year, concrete blocks of the project: work of Kutaisi, Ozurgeti, Senaki GACs, informational meetings, Women Voters’ Club, meetings with the journalists.
The journal covers the scales of one year activities, which was shown in the interviews with the representatives of Sakrebulos and NGO sector, in the articles about TV journalists and other materials.
The 4-th issue of the journal “Women’s Voice” will familiarize the readers with the work of the WSCs of the fund “Sukhumi” and will learn about new phase of collaboration with the local self-government.
There are the articles about activities of the psychologists and the lawyers of the fund, also about girls and young women, who participate in the current activities of the project.

This is a magazine about young women, their interesting life, initiatives and activities in frames of the fund “Sukhumi” project, - “Women and girls – for peace, security and social changes”.
The project consists of two parts. The first – means preparation of leader girls, their activation and involvement in socio-political life of our country and peaceful processes.
The two – year project finishes at the end of this year. There were many interesting events in 2014. The materials of the women’s voice tells us about them.

What kind of activities does the fund “Sukhumi” carry out in general state context, what was changed regarding violence against women, what should be done in future form more assistance of the victims – these issues are analyzed by the third issue of the journal “Women’s voice”
Role of WSCs, support of psychological and legal services, influence of the journal, collaboration with state and NGO structures – concrete materials are devoted to these issues and well represents mission of the fund and its activities.
The journal “Women, peace, human security” was issued in frames of the Fund “Sukhumi” project “Women and girls for peace, security and social justice”.
The second task of the project is: increasing of women’s role through cooperation of the Fund “Sukhumi” and women association on local level in the issues of peace, human security and gender equality.
The journal shows a work, conducted within the project with interesting portraits of project participants, their histories and impressions.
Debate in Zugdidi and Senaki, portraits of Tskhaltubo WSC activists, views of young people from Khoni, active work of the Fund "Sukhumi" Forum Theatre, prevention of domestic violence - these and other questions were reflected in the second issue of "Women's Voice".
Sketches, analytical articles, information, video - magazine is rich with variety of genres.
Readers are given the opportunity to see the extent of the Fund "Sukhumi" on an important project "Strengthening of women's rights in Western Georgia."
When there is only one journal planned within the project, responsibility is much more: not to forget about any circle and aspect.
This was the background of preparing the journal “Batumi Gender Advisory Council – Improved prospects, strengthening of women’s rights and effective governing of the regions”.
Journal published materials about activities implemented in frames of the project and the main aim was defined – creation of GAC in the region.
Especially interesting is portraits of GAC members, their approach towars council activities and acknowledgment of own share.
The first journal of
"Women’s Voice” presented results of a last year to the readers. The topics
were: what was the most interesting exceptional, what did the organization
achieve, what happens in WSCs, how is the work with the women, youth and
violence victims implemented.
The magazine articles
will answer these questions.
The 16-day campaign against violence against women – this is summing up
of Fund "Sukhumi’s" activity, strengthening of cooperation with
different structures, and future perspectives.

Activities
carried out in the fund have changed their lives.

have become more active and their motivation has increased.

them.
They
are many, but in the journal "Women's Voice" are published stories
about nine of them – active women who are not satisfied by their achievements
and strive for great success ...

The girls from the
School of Young Leaders, their changed life, expansion of the school’s activity
and the creation of Youth Centers of Fund "Sukhumi" – these issues
are covered in the new number of "Women's Voice".

changed since I’ve come to Fund "Sukhumi”.
"After the completion
of the first course of the Leaders’ School I’ve become more active,
self-confident, sociable, and bolder”.

The
work on prevention of violence is the main theme of the journal "Women’s
Voice”. It reflects trainings conducted
with that purpose, cooperation with representatives of local government,
meetings of women with psychologist and lawyer, forum-theatre performances.
"Psychological”
part of the journal - recipes of family harmony, tips on how to forget insult,
the principles of a real woman – was particularly interesting.
Different
categories of readers will undoubtedly find interesting and useful articles in
the journal.

A journal "Women’s Voice” was released within the framework of
Georgian-Abkhaz joint project.
Despite the fact that there are many obstacles from political
perspective, Fund "Sukhumi” and women’s partner organization which actively
operates in Abkhazia, consider important to work together to improve the socio-political
role of women.
In parallel to "Women’s Voice” a journal is being released in Abkhazia.
And we tried to acquaint readers with the gender situation, with considerations
of women-journalists and tell about active women who distinguished themselves in
society and declined to be in the role of a passive observer and change the
situation around themselves...
