Women's
solidarity for the better future - the new issue of "Women's Voice" answers
this call to some extent.
It tells

Featuring concrete steps, the journal summarizes the work carried out during the year. It tells about "Torpedo Kutaisi" - as of the campaign image, about round tables and actions, forum-theater performances, informational meetings. Special attention is paid to active participation of local authorities and youth in the campaign.
The campaign has demonstrated an active public image of Fund "Sukhumi" and united its numerous partners not only during the 16-day campaign. Future plans were initiated for the prevention of violence.
The project is implemented with the support of the organization EED Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst.
Again the main topic of the fifth number of "Women’s Voice” is the work of "Women’s Support Centres, and determination of their active role in lives of women.
Several articles are devoted to the WSCs of Khoni, Senaki and Poti. There are new mobilizers - graduates of the School of Young Leaders in these centers. Youth energy is already felt in the work of the center, and more changes can be expected every day.

"I have changed in a lot of ways”- this article tells
interestingly about the role of Fund "Sukhumi” in the life of a mobilizer of the
Women’s Support Centre in Tskhaltubo.
The other articles, printed in the forth number of the
journal, tell about the role of Women’s Support Centres, importance of work of
psychologist and lawyer.
Activity
of the League of Women-Voters, the use of media space to promote women's
activities and eight memorable portraits of women - representatives of eight Clubs
of Women Voters.
Eight
women who, in parallel with their main work, are actively involved in the work
of the League of Women-Voters and try to solve the problems existing in the
region.
Each
of them gains experience, is being changed and also is an active participant of
the changes that occur with the support of the Clubs in Kutaisi, Tskhaltubo, Khoni,
Khobi, Zugdidi, Poti, Batumi, and Ozurgeti.
That
is the theme of the journal - women who contribute to the changes.
The project is implemented with the
support of the organization NED – National Endowment for Democracy, USA.
What do women and girls benefit from Fund
"Sukhumi’s" activity? How meetings with a psychologist and a lawyer
help them? What adjustments do women make in their everyday life? How do their lives change?
The third number of "Women’s Voice” tries to answer
these questions.
Active work of Fund "Sukhumi" on prevention
of domestic violence, strengthening cooperation with local self-government, portraits
of successful women ...
This information is contained in the journal printed
in Georgian and English languages , which is spread
in Women's Support Centers to help women find ways to

In the second number of "Women’s Voice” a special focus is made on Women’s Support Centres because the work of Fund "Sukhumi” is developed in these regional structures.
The number tells about a training for mobilizers of all six Centres. Articles about the work of Khoni Centre, psychological counseling in Senaki Centre and information meetings in Kutaisi Centre are interesting.
An interview with the mobilizer of Khurcha Women’s Support Centre Nana Kantaria is especially impressive. The article shows well her strong character, and her attitude to living problems.
Acquaintance with the journal will inspire readers for the desire to participate in meetings and problem solution, belief in their rights, and of course, hope for the better future.
The journal "Women’s Voice” was released in a modified form: the new design, increased number of pages, since Russian and Georgian versions have been added with English ones.
In the articles of the journal is analyzed the work of Fund, presented the main results and an impact of Fund’s activity on women.

Portraits of young leaders show clearly results of Fund’s activity, changes made in their lives. These articles will be an incentive for many young women to be active and show their potential.
The first publication of the journal is dedicated to two trainings on capacity building of the organization held in Borjomi and Kutaisi.
The journal tells about the work of mobilizers in six Women’s Support Centres of Western Georgia. There are articles about activities held to prevent domestic violence.

So the fifth number of the journal contains much interesting information for those who follows Fund "Sukhumi’s” activities.
With the completion of the project there was issued the last, forth number of the journal "Women’s Voice in Politics”. That’s why the editorial staff of the journal tried to summarize the activity done and show readers the peculiarities, results and changes in lives of women living in Western Georgia brought by annual activity of the League of Women-Voters.
The mission of the journal and effective activity of fund are clearly visible in women's records published on the last page.
Marina Chokheli: Collaboration with Club fills us with hope, provides an incentive to work. I help ensure that families with many children living in Zugdidi district permanently receive financial aid.
Nato Lomaia: I really like the journal "Women’s Voice in Politics". We can see from the journal that our comments and suggestions are taken into account.
Ketevan Kadieshvili: The problem with transportation is acute in Ozurgeti. We are waiting for the response about special prices for transportation of students since September. This is the result of the activity of our advocacy group.
According to tradition, at the end of the month was published the fourth issue of "Women's Voice."
The magazine covers the activities of fund "Sukhumi" and the impact of this activity on women living in Western Georgia, who actively participate in different measures held in Women's Support Centers.
A special place is given to the work of a psychologist, since it is the most important part of fund "Sukhumi’s" activity. Articles show that trust in the psychologist is increasing. There is also printed the psychologist’s advice on "how to get rid of complexes," which attracted readers’ attention still in the process of publication.
In general, the journal achieves its goal - to show readers the changes that are already happening in the lives of women and increase their motivation for the new activities and changes.
"Your work is very impressive. You cooperate with local government and political parties quite effectively. I am sure that this cooperation will improve lives of people you work for”, - the new issue of the journal starts with this evaluation of Martha Beard (Coordinator of the National Endowment for Democracy in Caucasus).
Every article tells readers about specific actions: about activities of the Clubs of Women-Voters in eight cities, advocating of local problems, an initiative of Fund "Sukhumi”, about women, who had positive changes in their lives recently thanks to fund "Sukhumi”.
Photos illustrate well all that is covered in the journal.
