Long-term cooperation between the City Council (Sakrebulo) of Kutaisi and Fund "Sukhumi" has been strengthened on June 28 by signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation by a chairperson of Fund "Sukhumi" Alla Gamakharia and a chairperson of the City Council Amiran Khvadagiani.

The Memorandum defines the main directions of joint activity: organizing of a common information space, contribution to increasing the role of women and the degree of women’s involvement in decision-making, cooperation in advocacy issues and lobbying of civil interests, in conducting public campaigns, etc.

 The project is implemented with the support of the organization EED Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst.

What kind of work was carried out by advocacy group, which problem the group managed to solve?  A meeting of the Club of Women-Voters in Tskhaltubo began with this information.

During the next part of the meeting participants defined the priority issues that can be submitted by different political parties:

 - Free delivery for all pregnant women;

 - Extension of maternity leave up to a year while maintaining job;

 - Low interest lending for small business development.
