In frames of the project – “Women and girls – for peace and social justice” two more workshops were conducted in the WSC of Khurcha. Women and girls of different ages living on the both sides of de-facto boundary, touched those important issues, which treat their human security. The most alarming is increased number of kidnapping in the Gali district, which "peacefully" ends after paying a ransom. The other serious problem is free movement, which is named as one of the most essential problems. The women name the problem of unemployment. Though there were announced information about abrogation of labor rights in private sector. The issues of health and social security were also raised. Part of the women considers that principle of social justice is not protected in state social assistance program and considers that it needs refinement.

On July 18 the group of fund “Sukhumi” representatives left for Senaki municipality, with the aim of conducting inner evaluation and monitoring of the project.

From the beginning of the project 11 months passed – this is a short period, but enough for analyzing, how is the project important, relevant and effective in the region, how were the goals reached. In order to have answers to these questions, the group of monitoring conducted 2 focus-groups with the GAC members and society leaders and 3 in-depth interviews with journalist – member of Sakrebulo and representative of the NGO.

Respondents mentioned that from the moment of GAC creation, a short time has passed only 7 months and it is difficult to speak about any kind of big achievements or results, at the same time, it was mentioned that the council reached the goals in envisaged period of time and now it is time of concrete actions, which will make the GAC work more visible and fruitful.

In the youth gathered in the centers of Poti and Kutaisi spoke about the role of peace. Debates, which are always actual among the youth, once again proves that youth important role in peace building.

The young people mentioned:

• There is an aggressive background in the society, but each person must control emotions.
• Involvement of the youth in peaceful activities will regulate the conflicts.
• The women have a big role in peacekeeping and we must learn from their experience.
• Everybody must define their role correctly, in order to avoid conflicts.

The debates will go on this issue. The youth plans to conduct different peaceful activities, in order to show their role to the society.
