On November 25 members of the
Club of Women-Voters of Ozurgeti participated in the Festival of national
cuisine, organized in the village Khurcha, Zugdidi district.
Participants of the Festival
shared their impressions with the attendees of the Club meeting.
- At the festival, we
presented Gurian dishes. Guests from all over Georgia came to our table and
tasted our food.
It is important to mention that the date of
the festival coincided with the date of launching of the 16-day international
campaign against violence against women. We are pleased to have taken part in
this important and beautiful event, said Tsitsi Kupradze, a member of Ozurgeti
club.
Ketevan Kadeishvili, another
member of the club was talking about the situation in terms of the gender
imbalance during the parliamentary elections of 2012. Active members of the
Club said that there are few women in Georgian politics. They consider that there
should be more women on position of Ministers as well as on other leading
positions.
The project is implemented with the support of the
organization NED – National Endowment for Democracy, USA.
