"Monologues of victims on radio "Dzveli kalaki" reflect the plight of women, various twists and turns of life, clash with social stereotypes:

… Jealousy ... - as one of the forms of psychological violence that turns woman's life into hell ...

Society believes that she should close her eyes for the sake of children ... husband does not see anything violent and abusive in his behavior...

The heroine of the monologue is split. Listener should make a conclusion by himself/herself.

One can live for years in an environment that is far from ideal and harmonious family, but not become embittered and maintain dignity: a woman abandoned by her husband, is bringing up his daughter from another woman (he and the woman died in a car crash). She did not listen to the advice "of well-wishers", because she could not leave a little girl in an orphanage.

The radio programme transmitted on the radio broadcasting "Dzveli kalaki" was about the work started in the project supported by the international organization EED.

The Project Coordinator provides listeners with the information about activities and expected changes in society, which should be realized within the framework of the three-year project.

The main component of the project is a new stage in the work of the Women's Support Centers, which implies greater autonomy and a greater involvement of local communities in the eradication of violence against women, closer cooperation of the organization with local authorities, resulting in drawing up of the memorandum. The memorandum, drawn up with the local government of Senaki is the best precedent for such kind of cooperation: "Any information which is important for society can be solved when we combine our efforts," – that is the evaluation of the cooperation by the head of the local government of Senaki, Mr. Besik Narmania.

The cases described by respondents confirm that this cooperation is valuable: The fate of several families has been improved only through the active involvement of society and the various structures.

The format of anonymous radio monologues gives the opportunity to hear the dramatic stories of women who have spent their lives in such a way that they had not even thought about what it would be more correct to find a way out than to live with a husband-violator with the constant sense of impending doom.

A sense of inferiority, failed career and personal life, bad health – all these are the cost for a patient, which accompanies the cycle of physical, economic, and psychological violence.

These stories are different from previous ones because they are told by relatives of women-victims of violence, but not by the victims themselves. They still do not realize the drama of their situation. This underlines once again how difficult it is for them to analyze the situation and to adequately assess the reality.

Unfortunately there are many such women...

Again anonymous radio monologues were broadcasted on air of radio "Dzveli kalaki”.

"I was abducted when I was 15 years old. When I was 18 I became a widow. I raised two children alone and could not decide to marry again, though I had many admiers and thought many times that maybe I could have been happy ... "

- There are many such stories. On the one hand it is the belief that each person has a right to happiness, on the other hand it’s the public stereotype that widows are deprived of this right. This radio story makes us think.

The second story concerns the fate of an abducted girl.

Mother tried to return her, however she could not withstand strict uncles of her daughter. They thought it was a shame if she would have returned home but could not protect her from a husband who subjected her to violence. And once again the mother was the one who protected the girl: now she lives in a rented apartment and is trying to live a normal life ...
