On July 23-25 in the hotel "Green House” in Kobuleti there was held a three-day training on the topic "Strengthening of women’s possibilities in politics at the regional level” organized by Fund "Sukhumi”.

Participants of the training were women-deputies of the local self-government and members of the Clubs of Women-Voters of the cities of Western Georgia: Kutaisi, Ozurgeti, Batumi, Zugdidi, Khobi, Tskhaltubo, Khoni, Poti.

On the first day trainers of Fund "Sukhumi” acquainted participants with the situation in Georgia from the point of view of gender equality. They discussed leadership and issues of developing of leadership skills.

The second day the training was carried by the Chairperson of Kutaisi branch of Young Lawyers Association, Nino Tvaltvadze. The topic of her block was "Local self-government – European Charter, competence of the local self-government, local and central budget.

On the third day a journalist of the TV company "Imedi”, Eka Pkhakadze, acquainted participants with the principles of work with Mass Media – how to attract Mass Media’s attention, what they should know giving interviews.

All the twenty participants mentioned that the three-day work was fruitful and that they would use obtained knowledge in their practical activity.
