At the meeting of the Club of Women-Voters in Ozurgeti was summarized the activity done throughout the year. Participants said that during the project members of the Club got acquainted with group work principles and skills, methods of advocacy and lobby that would help them in addressing problems.
- We’ve acquainted with the activity of the Clubs operating in the towns of Western Georgia (Kutaisi, Tskhaltubo, Poti), the problems of women living there, and met with like-minded persons, - said the member of the Club Tsitsi Kupradze.
The members of the Club elaborated the project on opening of Women's Sunday school and submitted it to the City Council of Ozurgeti. Despite the fact that the project was not funded, the City Council has provided them with the room which they use for events.
A member of advocacy group Ketevan Kadeishvili said that the quality of cooperation between the local self-government and the Club of Women-Voters had been increased and contributed to effective addressing of the raised problems.
At the conclusion there was made a brief overview of the future activity of the club in groups - meetings in regions, meetings with parliamentarians and businessmen, women's salon meetings, drawing up of a leaflet on gender issues.
