Leaders of eight Clubs of the Women-Voters’ League
gathered in the office of Fund "Sukhumi” to discuss the strategy of future
activities within the framework of the new project (implemented with the
financial support of the NED).
The participants offered interesting suggestions –
create groups in clubs for work with society and political parties, collaborate
with local government and Mass Media, exchange information between clubs,
publish brochure on the League’s activity, assist participation of the League
members in different measures etc.
The main objective of the League is to expand the dialogue with local
government structures to address the local population.
Success of the Clubs indicates that the implementation of the ongoing
project will influence on increasing of women’s role in political life of the
country leading to achievement of gender equality.
