On August 25, the 8-th meeting of GAC was held in Senaki. According the day schedule, new members – deputies of Senaki municipality Sakrebulo – Nana Alania and ElisoTsaguria were included in the composition of the council. They are ready to put their share in building of gender policy of the city.
The council members received information regarding the problems of local population, solved as a result of the meeting with the lawyer, also regarding upcoming events within the project.
Active discussion of one of the Council project ideas was held, connected with civil education of young parents and teachers of kindergartens of the city regarding gender issues and eco-sanitarian situation. By the words of council members, the project will not only raise knowledge of target groups, but also will reveal their problems and find the ways of solution.
Informational meeting of the lawyer was held in Khoni, where the attendants received information regarding elimination of domestic violence, protection assistance of the victims and a law about the rules of one-term assistance with the aim of IDP social assistance.
There were questions regarding the criteria of socio-economical condition of socially unprotected families and other issues.

Performance of the forum-theatre was conducted in the park of Kutaisi. It was interesting that part of the audience did not participate in the performance demonstratively, as to their opinion, similar events does not happen in our reality. Such announcements, discussions about scales of domestic violence, are the results of the forum-theatre, as the public will by no means thin about similar facts. The youth fixed number of alarming facts around them. As a rule it is an inspiration for new scenes and further performances.

On August 25 the youth of Khoni once again gathered, in order to express their opinion regarding actual events. How will the European tendencies make influence on our traditions? In answer to this question the youth of Khoni consider that everything new and interesting will be useful for our generation, though we must meet everything news carefully.
The debate-club of the youth net continues discussing actual issues and planning of further activities.

Advocacy of local population problems, involvement and participation of the VWC members in Sakrebulo meetings – the discussion round these issues was held in the conference hall of the Fund “Sukhumi”.
Participants of the meeting discussed actual problems of education, health-care and transport spheres and mentioned that attendance of Sakrebulo members on the meeting is essential for solution of these problems. The important fact also is knowledge of local programs, budget and informing the population.
The club members paid attention to ecological problems too. The members plan to research the polluted territories of the city and raise a question in relevant structures in future.
