In spite of the fact that August id the month of rest and vacation, the members of the youth net of the fund “Sukhumi” mixed pleasant rest with useful activities. Summer is the best way to gain new friends and followers. Summer was used for the work of youth net by the leaders.

There were numerous initiatives. The youth expressed a will, to become active members of the net. The contacts go on in online regime, which is shown on the youth facebook page of the fund “Sukhumi”.

Records:

-There are number of youth nets in Georgia, which serve to different spheres. I have learned about the fund “Sukhumi” this year and I am pleasantly surprised by its work. The fund activated the youth, gives them motivation and teaches the meaning of volunteership. The main thing is that each member of the net has opportunity of realization. – Rezi

-I am from Kutaisi, I am sorry that I have not heard about the fund till now and I promise to be your active member. – Tamuna

-I am the active member of eco-club, it will be very nice to be involved in different projects. – Naniko

-I have participated in the activities of the fund before and I have heard much about this organization. – Tiko

-I have a great desire to become a member of leaders’ school, but unfortunately, it is not envisaged for the boys. - Giorgi

The youth often speak about gender issues in the WSCs of the fund “Sukhumi”.

The topic of August meetings was “Creation and development of the gender society in Georgia”.

In spite of the fact that the part of youth has lots of information received as a result of different activities, some of them look at several issues with stereotypes. For example, one of the boys said: “I don’t want my wife to work, but in case of her insisted will, I must overview the staff, where she will work”.

Of course this opinion had opponents even during the meeting, but each opinion has right to exist…the fact is that more work must be carried out with the youth.

There is number of simple rules for attracting the men, which may be used by any women:

Rule 1. Study his needs

Rule 2. Appreciate his values

Rule 3. Say the compliments

Rule 4. Wear the clothes considering his ideas

Rule 5. Support a man

Rule 6. Do not stress him by emotions

Rule 7. Choose the words correctly

Rule 8. Be sincere

Rule 9. Be self-sufficient

Rule 10. Keep measure in everything

And the main thing: trust him; otherwise there will be permanent problems in relations.

These advices were acceptable for the women, who came to the meeting with the psychologist of the fund “Sukhumi” in collective centers of Kutaisi. Together with this issue the conversation was regarding different interesting issues for the women.

There were 6 group meetings and 1 individual one with the psychologist conducted in Kutaisi.

 An active members of the Club of Women-Voters – a speech therapist – Tamar Dumbadzehasd been promoted. She will be the head of the Social Department of the Mayor’s office in Ozurgeti. A regular meeting of the Club started with this pleasant information at the Centre of Civic Engagement in Ozurgeti.

The Club members emphasized that there are many social problems in Ozurgeti which need to be studied and addressed and they rely on the support of their team member Tamar Dumbadze.

The women of Ozurgeti were also speaking about their future plans. On the 5^th of September they will participate in the Festival of national dishes that will be held in Perevi.

The forum-theatre conducted ordinary meeting in the “Park of Love” of Kutaisi. Majority of the audience was the youth and an Ukrainian boy among them, who attended the whole performance. The part of the audience – the boys as well as the girls, actively participated in the discussion. The girls mostly blamed the men and the boys thought that the reason of the violence in most cases is the woman, who does not try to avoid the conflict and sometimes aggravates the situation.

On August 26, an ordinary meeting of the new composition of GAC, existing with Kutaisi Sakrebulo was held. 5 members of newly elected Sakrebulo were added to it.

Irma petriashvili – the chairperson of culture, education, youth and sport commissions was unanimously elected the head of council and TeimurazNadiradze – the member of Sakrebulo, chairperson of healthcare and social issues commission, as her deputy.

The GAC members agreed to discuss final version of suggestions and recommendations on the ordinary meeting, which was elaborated on the basis of the researches. It will be delivered for envisaging gender needs in the local budget of Sakrebulo. There was also an opinion that the council must take responsibility to protect its recommendations.

On August 26, an ordinary meeting of the Gender Advisory Council was held. The chairperson familiarized council members with the new composition of Sakrebulo members, which will be involved in council activities. There are 5 women in new staff of Ozurgeti Municipality and all of them expressed readiness for involvement in the work of the council.

After elections Ozurgeti Municipality was divided into two self-governmental units, coming out of existing reality, there was expressed an opinion that it is essential for both Sakrebulos – municipal, as well as urban, to be involved in the work of the council. The meeting also summarized the results of work-shops, conducted within the frames of the project, initiated by the council. Future asctivities were also planned.
