- Every meeting brought new experiences and positive emotions – as assessed by the members of the Club of Women-Voters.
On summarizing the meeting members of the Club noted that they managed to address several problems during the year. For example, when the local self-government of Kobuleti was planning to deprive the Blinds’ Union of a premise, an advocacy group of the Batumi club appealed to the local government. The problem was resolved in favor of the Blind’s Union.
The meeting participants also said about the importance of exchange meetings: we’ve been acquainted with the activities of the Clubs, operating in western Georgia (Ozurgeti, Kutaisi, Poti), challenges of local population. Cooperation between the club members and the local government is expanding.
The Club members hope that their work on solution of the problems of population will be continued with the support of donor organizations.
The project is implemented with the support of the organization NED – National Endowment for Democracy, USA.
