The work-shop was attended by the young boys together with IDP and local women. The event was conducted by the trainers-who were prepared in frames of the project and successfully carried out the job.

In the first block of the collection there was a story of Visaka Darmadas from Shrilanka, the history is familiar for many families residing in Tskaltubo: “I fight for other women and do not want them to lose their children”. The pathos of this history was familiar to them: ”All wars are finished with reconciliation”.

The second part of the work-shop was devoted to the issues of women human security, during of which the participants divided the spheres, where gender security is protected most of all, it was said that it is essential to deeply realize their rights and manage and learn their protection, especially protection of labor rights, as there are number of examples that they cannot often use the rights provided by the law, mainly in the private sector.

Domestic violence and their controlled mechanisms- was the topic of workshop with young people held in Poti Women Support Centre.

-If we give possibility to conflict development, the result we gain is the violence – that was the general opinion of workshop participant’s.

-What are the methods of conflict management, who and how avoid the conflict? - All participants tried to answer those questions.

Some interesting moments were mentioned during the discussion: most of girl participant’s believe that family violence can be avoided if everyone rejects their positions.

The position of men was radically different (the workshop was attended by two men). They basically blame women in family conflicts. They say: - conflict between couples develops if women do not obey and relinguish their opinions.

After discussion the group comes up to one opinion: more information is needed. The boys should also present on such kind of workshops to increase their consciousness and not to be based only on stereotypes.

The workshop with girl participants, with the discussion topic conflicts and their management mechanisms, was very interesting!

Members of debate club discussed when the family conflicts begin and develop, how "appear" the victim and the perpetrator.

According to young people, family conflicts have always existed, but nobody talked about it because it was related to their family prestige.

Participants believe that conflicts in family lead to violence. The deeper conflict becomes the harder is to solve it.

The workshop participants in Kutaisi and Senaki mentioned that new generation is more informed about their rights what helps to solve the problem.

The workshop, initiated at Tskaltubo Women Support centre began with the discussion of personal conflicts.

A brief introductory psychological test showed that personal conflicts greatly affects the dynamics of the conflict.

- Every person is different and we behave differently during conflicts. The investigation of personal conflicts will enable us to choose a proper strategy for the successful conflict management - said the workshop participants.

Finally recommendation where given. Women consider that such meetings should be attended by as many people as possible. If we do not allow the family conflict to develop full-scale, it will seriously diminish the risk of violence in separate families.

Similar attitude were expressed by Senaki and khoni workshop participants. Overall conclusion is that conflict management skill is one of key factors in domestic violence prevention.

  - How conflicts arise, how they develop, what ways exist to avoid conflicts - 24 workshops on that topic are to be held in different regions of Western Georgia, which is, according to the project, is the next task for the participants of the Young Leaders School.

The girls have already started to fulfill the task. Several meetings have already been held in Kutaisi, Poti, Senaki and Khurcha. Participants received information about conflict. They had the opportunity to do practical exercises and more realistically imagine the development of conflict, its dynamics, and think about contributing factors.

Leaders believe that the workshops did much in terms of awareness raising of the participants. Some of young people first thought about the ways and means of conflict resolution that was reflected in recommendations.

The workshops will be held until the end of the month.

- The school of young women-leaders helped us to see our potential and realize it. We have overcome our complexes, got used to work in a team, and to be independent.

- Realization of the knowledge, gained during the training program, in practice was especially important.

- We have acquired great experience in conduction of various activities in the frame of the 16-day campaign.

- So was estimated annual work by the members of the Leaders School at the final workshop. Young women think that they left school with altered consciousness and a special way of thinking. In the future, they plan to be actively involved in public life and use the experience gained in School.

At the end of the workshop the School graduates were awarded diplomas.

In the meetings participated local and IDP young women from Abkhazia. They actively discussed their leadership skills and opportunities, how they should act in a conflict situation to control your emotions. Along with the power women assign leaders a huge responsibility. In their opinion, the leader must be able to manage his or her emotions, as "more is required from leader”. The leader can not be impulsive and unbalanced and make decisions in the heat of passion".
