On November 30, members of the school of leader girls together with other IDP girls organized an action of cleaning in collective center of Senaki military settlement. The activity was devoted to 16-day campaign against violence towards the women.

A weekly program “7 days” aired involvement of the fund “Sukhumi” in the campaign of 16 active days against gender violation. The authors underlined that the fund “Sukhumi” is a pioneer organization, which exists for more than 10 years and speaks about this problem in all instances. The representatives of the fund speak about activities and public involvement of the organization in frames of the campaign.

Members of the Parliament of Georgia and local Sakrebulos, who represent Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council, mention that the state was late to make steps in direction of violence prevention. Importance of violence prevention, informing the society and education was also underlined.

In frames of the project: “Women and girls – for peace, security and social justice” it was planned to issue two journals. The first one was published in July and the second – at the end of November.

The journal tells about different activities, youth centers, results, achievements and young leaders.

Thus, there are lots of interesting in the journal.

On November 30, in the ice palace of Kutaisi there was held a game of hockey national team. Members of the school of leader girls motivated the sportsmen to join the campaign of 16 active days against violence towards the women.

After it the sportsmen on their own initiative fixed their position regarding protection of women.

Planned activities are carried out in 6 cities of Western Georgia. Initiative groups of the youth net joined the action on November 25.

The youth net of the fund “Sukhumi” actively participate in 16 day campaign against violence. Symbolic ties, informational sheets, brochures were spread in the streets.

Informational meetings were held in various organizations, competition of the novels was carried out.

The youth involved tens followers in the activity, as violence is unacceptable for them.
