The story, prepared by the journalists of “7 days” informed the audience about results of collaboration between Kutaisi GAC and local government. As the Mayor of the city claims, most part of the recommendations are envisaged in the future budget. Among them infrastructure of kindergartens, raising of qualification of the staff. As the council members claim new budget is more gender sensitive as it was in previous ones – it is a results of collaboration of self-government and civil groups.

The journalists of the TV “Rioni” made a story in frames of the week of human rights protection, which analyses situation in Georgia.

Ordinary citizens, parliament members representatives of NGOs express their opinion regarding this issue. They think that “human rights must be protected not only by the law, but also public ethics”.

The fund “Sukhumi” works in direction of women’s rights protection since 2003. As the chairperson of the fund mentions, the society became more tolerant to aggression and it must be neutralized. The facts of violation must be analyzed, the reasons must be studied and mechanisms of protection must be sophisticated.

“Our circle was enlarged and the resource of the IDP leader girls from Abkhazia  increased”. “youth network was created. The girls conduct events, campaigns, innovative initiatives”. “We reached important personal growth during school period”. “There was a mix of theory and practice, education in conflict management, communication, leadership, advocacy, media, facilitation.”

These were the words in TV show “7 days”, which was devoted to awarding diplomas to the leader girls.
