No one is surprised of the actions, conducted by the fund “Sukhumi” in Senaki. The activists of women support centers organized an action devoted to the international day of peace on September 21.

The action was joined by the representatives of local government, who always support the initiatives of the fund “Sukhumi”.

At the end of the action the participants raised the kites in the sky – as symbol of peace.

September 21 is the international day of peace by decision of the UN, it is celebrated since 1982.

Several actions were devoted to this day in all WSCs of the fund “Sukhumi”, Khurcha and Khoni among them. The action was participated by the activists, local population, representatives of government.

The action was finished with raising the kites in the sky.

Peace is especially important for the IDPs from Abkhazia, because of this, the activists of the fund “Sukhumi” always celebrate international day of peace.

On September 21, WSCs of Tskaltubo and Poti conducted actions like the other Women Support Centers.

“Joint Efforts for the Peace” – this was one of the slogans of action participants. Peaceful signal of the residents of Tskaltubo and Poti was joined to the voices of peacekeepers of the world.

-Peace to families, peace to the countries, peace to the world! – With this slogan the activists of the Women Support Centers supported the peace. Despite of rainy autumn weather, they gathered near the Youth Park and conducted the action devoted to the international day of peace. The doves were flying above the park, that was symbolic.

International day of peace is celebrated since 1982.

The action was joined by the passersby. They were congratulating each other to the day of Virgin Maria saying, that peace is holly and each person must act against the war and violence.
