The meeting of the GAC was devoted to elaboration of gender equality plan, which will be the basis for conducting local gender policy. The priorities were given to the spheres of education, healthcare, the stress was made on creation of gender mechanisms and their strengthening.

The chairperson of the council – Lela Natsvaladze mentioned that the chairpersons of city and municipality had an initiative to select candidatures of gender advisors from the composition of the GAC.

The assistants of the fund “Sukhumi” conducted three more trainings on: “Ethics, esthetics and sexual education”.

The meeting in Poti was attended by 14 people, young mothers among them. The discussion was interesting and active. As it was mentioned, talking on similar issue positively effects on consciousness. Ethics and esthetics is a mirror of a family, sexual education is delicate issue, which needs its specifics.

The meeting in Koki was mainly attended by the pupils of 11-th grade. By the opinion of one of them: “ethics and esthetics are attractive habits and they are indicators of communicativeness and intellectuality”.

Pupils of the public school No 1 of Senaki were active. Interesting discussion was held. The issues of ethics and esthetics were very interesting for the meeting participants. As for sexual education, it was mentioned that the issue is sensitive, which does not need public discussion.

The work-shops regarding the issue of domestic violence still go on. In October the work-shops will be conducted in Kutaisi, Khoni and Zugdidi (Koki).

The work-shops begin with discussion of private conflicts. As it was shown by the inter-active, the youth do not know themselves by the psychological side. They have not thought how to rule their emotions in conflict situations. The discussion was continued by such issues as: connection of personal conflicts with domestic conflicts, character of a person and conflict development.

The youth thinks that the best way of avoiding conflicts is to learn ruling own emotions. It means that relations in family will get easier and we will avoid conflict situations.

The youth center of Khurcha conducted debates in the University of Meskhia. The participants discussed, how the youth has possibility to allocate free time rationally and be involved in the activities round the town.

By opinion of the participants, notwithstanding free concerts devoted to celebrations, there is nothing interesting for them. They do not know local programs. They are mainly involved in the activities, organized by the University.

They expressed a will to be more active, collaborate with the local youth department and be involved in different activities.
