A regular meeting was held in Senaki Municipality Music school. The meeting was attended by Georgians as well as representatives of different national minoroties – teachers, students and their parents (they are integrated into local community, they speak Georgian fluently, though they still remember their native language).
In the school that was established in 1927, learn 250 students and work 37 staff members (of them 35 are women).
A head of the School Mrs. Rusudan Milyutina told about problems existing in the School – the hall, where lots of events take place, should be redecorated. Old musical instruments need to be repaired and there is only one computer in the school.
On the same day the aforementioned problems were discussed at the meeting of the Gender Advisory Council. Members of the GAC, including Senaki Municipality Council members, emphesized that they would contribute to the solution of these problems.
The project is implemented with the support
of the UN Women’s Fund for Gender Equality
