What role does self-esteem play in woman’s life? What does physical body (health, food, clothing, recreation), emotions (friendship, relationships), intelligence (the need for knowledge, the ability to share and to give, to set goals), the spiritual part (to be in harmony with yourself, love) mean?

In July, the main topic of conversations in all six Women Support Centres was "Self-esteem".

Participants of the meetings agreed that all 4 components are important. But women are limited in most things. There is no money for good physical condition, for education.

- We almost do not set big goals.  We just do not see them, because they are not available, - said many women.

But among the participants there are many optimists, self-motivated people who always find a way out of a difficult situation and hope for the best. They serve as a good example for others. In addition, psychologists advise that, despite everything you must love yourself and increase your self-esteem...

In July in different collective centres of Kutaisi there were held 8 group meetings with psychologist (attended by 71 women aged 18 to 65).

And in the Women Support Centres of Kutaisi, Senaki, Poti, Khoni, Tskhaltubo and Khurcha psychologists carried out per one meeting as well as individual meetings.

6 meetings with participation of 93 young people were held in 6 Women Support Centres throughout a month. Recently boys also show interest in the meetings together with the girls.

Young people were interested in the themes discussed in July: ethics, esthetics, sexual education.

The last theme of the meetings was topical for some and unacceptable (some said that this was not the subject for discussion) for others. But the story of a girl in one of the collective centres made everyone think: a girl was ill for long time. Doctors could not explain the reason. She was advised to visit a gynecologist. Her parents protested. They said that she was too young to visit a gynecologist. But when she finally visited a doctor, it turned out that she had an ovary cyst.

This is a good example that one should not have a stereotype attitude to the issues of sexual education. Young people should be provided with necessary information.
