A round table meeting on the topic "Protection of victims of violence and violence prevention" was held in Khoni Women Support Centre. The meeting was attended by representatives of local self government, teachers, youth, women IDPs.

During the meeting there were revealed problems in terms of protection of victims of violence, and elaborated relevant proposals.

Participants were given posters, leaflets and calendars published by Fund "Sukhumi" within the framework of the campaign. They expressed their willingness to actively participate in the campaign and said that they would wear white ribbons as a sign of solidarity.

A training on awareness raising of IDPs in laws and resettlement criteria was held in the training room of Fund "Sukhumi” within the framework of the joint project "Informed IDPs advocate for their rights on resettlement”. In the training participated representatives of 6 collective centres that have not yet been rehabilitated. The participants got information about resettlement criteria, how they can be involved in this process and advocate for their problems.

At the conclusion of the training participants said:

-We did not know anything about criteria, now we know how and on what basis scores are assigned to IDP families.

-The training was very informative. The obtained knowledge will be useful for the protection of our rights during the process of distribution of living areas. 

A teacher of the school # 6 of Abkhaz Autonomous Republic (in Kutaisi) Maia Esartia held an open lesson within the framework of the campaign.

Representatives of Fund "Sukhumi” invited to the event told about the campaign and gave informational materials, notebooks and calendars to schoolchildren.

No - violence! – this was the theme of the lesson.

Pupils of the 7th-10th grades made ​​slides and stands with slogans: "Violence is evil!", "No – trafficking!", "Let’s protect women and children!", "I want to understand my rights". ..

At the lesson there was emphasized that a great role is assigned to school in the formation of child. Schoolchildren want to know better their rights and responsibilities.
