Residents of all collective centre where work mobilizers of Fund "Sukhumi" learnt about the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence Campaign.

36 informational meetings were conducted in Senaki, Kutaisi, Tskhaltubo, Khoni, Poti and Khurcha.

Attendees of the meetings were informed about the campaign and provided with informational materials published by Fund "Sukhumi".

Mobilizers held meetings also with representatives of local self government.

In solidarity, all participants wore ​​a symbol of the campaign - a white ribbon. They felt the urgency of the problem and said that such meetings increase their awareness, and they have a greater incentive to protect their rights.

Meetings of the lawyers of Fund "Sukhumi” with women have continued during November. The main themes of the consultations held in Senaki, Kutaisi, Tskhaltubo, Khoni, Poti and Khurcha were: domestic violence, privatization of property, fellowships of dwellings and their meaning, new Labour Code.

Participants of the meetings were provided with interesting and useful information. Accept common topics there were held individual counseling (redecoration of flats, obtaining of identity cards, writing of motivation letters etc.).

There were written letters to the Ministry of IDPs and the Ministry of Education with regards to decreasing of rates for education of individual students.

Informational meetings in local Sakrebulos of 6 cities of Western Georgia were held within the framework of the 16 Active Days Campaign. The representatives of the local councils were provided with the information about the campaign and about activities of Fund "Sukhumi” within the frameworks of the campaign.

The meetings’ attendees unanimously recognized the existence of the problem of violence and expressed desire to cooperate in this regard.
